This case study shares how the project has transformed the educational opportunities available for young children at Kul Totueng Pre-school in Pursat Province.

Built by the community in 1980, the previous pre-school building was deteriorating, classrooms were no longer fit for use, and the environment was not fit for teaching or learning. In 2025, the community in the Phnom Kravanh District were able to, with support from project was able to construct a new pre-school building.

Ms. Seng Sophasey, a teacher at the pre-school, says that the students are happier, enjoy coming to school, and that their parents have gained confidence in sending their children to the new school to learn. Early childhood education is very important and the increased trust between the school and the community would not have been possible without the support from all stakeholders.
