On 25 August 2026, Lutheran Hope Cambodia Organization—through the IMPACT Project and in cooperation with the Institute for Skills Development Cambodia (ISDC) and local authorities—organized a learning visit to Minebea Cambodia in the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone.

Financially supported by Mission Alliance Cambodia, the event brought together 66 participants, including 52 youths (24 young women), 8 local authorities, and 4 ISDC staff.

For many of the young participants, this was much more than just a factory tour. It was their first hands-on exposure to a real industrial workplace, giving them the opportunity to explore modern production processes, cutting-edge technology, workplace culture, safety standards, and the exact skills employers are looking for.

“Before this visit, I only imagined what working in a modern factory might be like. Today, I saw the technology, discipline, teamwork, and skills required. It made me realize that I need to keep learning and developing my skills if I want to build a good career in the future,” shared one youth participant.

This visit successfully helped these young individuals connect classroom learning with real-world opportunities, discover new career paths, and build the confidence needed to prepare for the future of work!
