Inspiring Future Careers: Youth Gain Practical Insights

On September 16, 2026, Lutheran Hope Cambodia Organization (LHCO), through the IMPACT project, collaborated with the Institute for Skill Development Cambodia (ISDC) and local authorities to organize an educational study visit to One More Group company, the manufacturer of Vital Premium Water and Mee Chiet, located in the Sangkat Kork Roka, Khan Prek Pnov, Phnom Penh city.

Financially supported by Mission Alliance Cambodia, the study visit brought together a total of 71 participants, including 61 youth (27 female), 3 local authority representatives, 2 ISDC staff members, 2 volunteers and 3 LHCO staffs.

During the visit, participants acquired knowledge about One More Group, a prominent Cambodian enterprise showcasing local craftsmanship, and explored various employment opportunities open to youth. Moreover, the youth learned about the company’s background, production lines, advanced technologies, food safety standards, and what employers need, including the essential education and job-oriented skills required for employment.

One of the participating shared their reflection:

“I am very happy to join this study visit and learn about this company. Even though I am only in Grade 9, I have learned so much about modern industrial technologies that I had never seen before. Most importantly, I now understand the job opportunities available and the importance of self-improvement to seize future opportunities.”

This study visit plays a vital role in bridging Cambodian youth with practical knowledge and real-world experience in technology, social development, and the professional job market. Above all, it inspires young people to continue strengthening their skills and building self-confidence to prepare for future opportunities and a brighter outlook.
