On 14 October 2026, representatives of the Lutheran Hope Cambodia Organization (LHCO) participated in the forum “Women Farmers at the Centre: Land Use, Agroecology and Climate Resilience in Asia.”The event was organized by the NGO Forum on Cambodia and the International Land Coalition (ILC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction and civil society organizations (CSOs). It brought together more than 300 participants from across Asia, including government officials, farmers’ organizations, Indigenous women, civil society representatives, and development partners.
The forum aimed to promote secure land tenure rights for women farmers, showcase women-led agroecological practices, and strengthen climate resilience. It also provided a platform for sharing experiences, exchanging knowledge, and fostering collaboration to advance women’s rights to land, sustainable agriculture, and climate-resilient livelihoods across the region.
