With support from Mission Alliance (MA), Lutheran Hope Cambodia Organization (LHCO), through the IMPACT project, partnered with the Office of Animal Production and Health of the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in Kampong Speu Province to conduct a two-day training on “Local Chicken Raising Techniques” on April 29–30, 2026.

A total of 23 participants (including 9 women) from two agricultural cooperatives in Thpong District joined the training, gaining practical knowledge to improve their poultry farming practices.

The training focused on helping farmers transition from traditional methods to more effective, modern techniques—covering feed management, hygiene, disease prevention, and productivity improvement.

It also aimed to support farmers in adapting to climate change, reducing production risks, and increasing household income by producing higher-quality chickens that meet market demands.

This initiative is a meaningful step toward strengthening local capacities and promoting sustainable livelihoods within the community.
