On 25 July 2026, IMPACT Project of Lutheran Hope Cambodia Organization (LHCO), in close collaboration with LHCC Local Church, successfully organized the Annual Youth Friendship Football Tournament, under financial support from Mission Alliance, bringing together 161 youth participants (53 young women) from nine youth groups.
More than just a football competition, the event created a safe and inspiring space for young people to connect, build friendships, and learn valuable life lessons. Throughout the tournament, participants were encouraged to reflect on important educational messages promoting healthy lifestyles and positive choices—raising awareness about the risks of drug use, domestic violence, exploitation, and unsafe migration, while strengthening teamwork, mutual respect, leadership, and peaceful relationships.
Sports have the power to unite people beyond the game. By combining football with life skills and peace education, this event empowered young people to become confident leaders, responsible citizens, and positive role models within their families and communities.
