On June 5–6, 2026, Lutheran Hope Cambodia Organization (LHCO), through the Cambodia Vegetable Value Chain Development (CVCD) Project and with support from Heifer International Cambodia, organized a training course on “Proposal Writing for Farming Communities” in Kampong Chhnang Province.

The training was attended by 43 participants, including 23 women, representing 20 farming communities from Kampong Chhnang and Kampong Speu provinces.

The training aimed to:

• Strengthen the capacity of community members to write effective project proposals.
• Enable farming communities to develop proposals for funding and technical support from relevant organizations.
• Support communities in preparing proposals that address their specific needs, such as improved cultivation techniques, irrigation systems, and market access.
• Encourage the active participation of community members and stakeholders throughout the proposal development process.
• Enhance communities’ ability to successfully engage in development programs and research initiatives.
• Provide practical tools and structured approaches for transparent and accountable project management.
